May 28 Independence Day event
An event on the occasion of May 28 Independence Day was held at Baku Business University on May 27. The event featured the national anthem of the Republic of Azerbaijan. Then the rector of the University i.e.d., prof. Ibad Abbasov congratulated the faculty and students on this significant day. Rector noted that Independence Day is one of the most glorious and bright pages in the history of the Azerbaijani people. The Azerbaijan Democratic Republic, which set the goal of establishing a democratic republic 104 years ago, has functioned with honor for 23 months and has proved that the Azerbaijani people are capable of determining their own destiny. Thus, the Azerbaijan Democratic Republic has left an indelible mark on the history of Azerbaijan's national statehood with its rich experience of state building. At the end of the event, a video dedicated to the May 28 Independence Day was shown.
