“Interpretation” Competition Dedicated to the “Year of Constitution and Sovereignty”

On December 11, 2025, an “Interpretation” competition dedicated to the “Year of Constitution and Sovereignty” was organized at Baku Business University among fourth-year students majoring in Translation.

The performances of the participants were evaluated by a jury consisting of Minaya Safarova, Editor-in-Chief of the “Shams Translation Services Center,” and leading lecturers of the Department of Languages.

During the interpretation process, participants were assessed based on key criteria such as lexical accuracy, logical coherence, adaptation to speech tempo, note-taking skills, and interpretative approach.

The competition provided students with an opportunity to combine translation theory with practical skills and gain experience performing in a real professional environment.

According to the results of the competition, the three students who achieved the highest scores were awarded first, second, and third places respectively, receiving certificates and gifts, while the other participants were presented with participation certificates.
