Event Titled “A Leader Successfully Implementing the Great Return!” Held at Baku Business University

Within the framework of the “Year of Urban Development and Architecture”, an event titled “A Leader Successfully Implementing the Great Return!” was held at Baku Business University, jointly organized with the Yasamal District Organization of the New Azerbaijan Party. The event was attended by Chairman of the Yasamal District Organization Bakhtiyar Nabiyev, Rector of Baku Business University Ibad Abbasov, Members of Parliament Rovshan Muradov and Goydaniz Gahramanov, representatives of the party, academic staff, students, and party members.

Prior to the official part of the event, flowers were laid at the bust of National Leader Heydar Aliyev in the University’s administrative building, and his memory was honored with deep respect. The National Anthem of the Republic of Azerbaijan was performed, followed by a minute of silence in memory of Heydar Aliyev and the martyrs who sacrificed their lives for the country’s territorial integrity and sovereignty.

Opening the event, Rector Ibad Abbasov highlighted the significance of the “Year of Urban Development and Architecture,” emphasizing that the foundations laid by Heydar Aliyev have been successfully continued by President Ilham Aliyev, who has determined a unique path of development for modern independent Azerbaijan. He noted that the Great Return is a logical continuation of the strategic development line defined by the National Leader and that the large-scale reconstruction and development works in the liberated territories clearly demonstrate its successful implementation.

Member of Parliament Rovshan Muradov delivered a comprehensive speech, noting that the historic victory achieved in the 44-day Patriotic War restored Azerbaijan’s territorial integrity and sovereignty. He emphasized that the “Great Return” policy ensures the reintegration of liberated territories into the national economy, the development of infrastructure, and the safe return of displaced persons.

In their speeches, participants highlighted that the restoration and development of Karabakh and Eastern Zangezur, the implementation of large-scale infrastructure projects, and the creation of modern living conditions reflect the country’s strong state policy. It was also noted that these processes contribute to economic growth, the expansion of green energy zones, and the strengthening of social welfare.

Member of Parliament Goydaniz Gahramanov emphasized that the Great Return represents a central element of Azerbaijan’s political, social, and ideological development, symbolizing national unity, sovereignty, and the revival of historical justice.

At the end of the event, Chairman of the Yasamal District Organization of the New Azerbaijan Party Bakhtiyar Nabiyev stated that the Great Return is one of the most important stages in Azerbaijan’s statehood history and is based on the strategic vision of Heydar Aliyev and the decisive leadership of President Ilham Aliyev.

During the event, it was also decided, on the initiative of Rector Ibad Abbasov, to establish volunteer student construction teams at Baku Business University for the first time among higher education institutions. These teams will be involved in reconstruction and development activities in the liberated territories during the summer holidays.

Following the speeches, the anthem of the New Azerbaijan Party was performed, and a commemorative photo was taken.
