On February 2–5, the academic staff of Baku Business University (BBU) paid a working visit to Budapest Metropolitan University (METU) in Hungary.

Within the framework of the visit, a professional development training titled “Innovative Methods in Language Teaching” was organized with the participation of 15 lecturers representing the Departments of Languages, Humanities, and Economics. The training was also attended by the Head of the Department of Languages at Baku Business University, Associate Professor Sevil Gurbanova, PhD in Philology. The training program covered modern pedagogical methodologies, interactive and student-centered approaches, as well as the application of digital tools in language teaching.

During practical sessions, participants improved their teaching skills by directly applying new methods. At the end of the training, participants were awarded internationally recognized certificates.

In addition to the academic program, official meetings were held during the visit to expand cooperation between the two higher education institutions. Discussions with the leadership of Budapest Metropolitan University resulted in preliminary agreements on developing the conceptual framework for dual degree programs, forming joint research initiatives, and structuring mechanisms for academic exchange.

At the conclusion of the meetings, the parties agreed on preparing a concrete action plan for the near future, establishing working groups, and organizing reciprocal visits at the next stage.
