Novruz Celebration Held at Baku Business University
An event dedicated to the Novruz holiday was organized at Baku Business University.
The event was officially opened by the herald’s announcement, followed by the performance of the National Anthem of the Republic of Azerbaijan by a girls’ choir group.
During the official part of the event, the Rector of the University delivered a speech congratulating students and academic staff on the occasion of Novruz and wishing them success. Certificates were then presented to students who distinguished themselves in academic and social activities.
In the artistic part of the program, examples of national music and dance were presented. A boys’ dance group performed the traditional “Shalakho” dance, followed by the song “Bayram gəlir elimə”. Afterwards, the dance “Ağ çiçəyim” was performed by a girls’ group. The program continued with performances featuring symbolic characters of Azerbaijani folklore, Dede Gorgud and the Spring Maiden (Bahar girl), and the choir performed the song “Novruz”. A dance composition based on the operetta “Arshin Mal Alan” was also presented. Within the program, performances by traditional festive characters Kosa and Kechel were staged, and the song “Bayram axşamları” was performed. The event concluded with the traditional “Novruzi” yalli dance.
