Representatives of Baku Business University Participated in the I International Student Forum Held in Tashkent and Samarkand

From March 29 to April 5, 2026, the International Student Forum–2026 was successfully held in the cities of Tashkent and Samarkand in the Republic of Uzbekistan. The prestigious event was organized at the initiative of the Tashkent University of Information Technologies named after Muhammad al-Khwarizmi, bringing together academic staff and students from partner higher education institutions. The forum was attended by nearly 500 participants from more than 20 countries.

The main objective of the event was to strengthen cooperation among participants, promote intercultural dialogue, and develop global partnerships through project-based teamwork, academic discussions, and cultural exchange.

A delegation from Baku Business University represented Azerbaijan at the international forum. The delegation was led by Mahsati Jafarova, Head of the Department of Humanities; Agil Gurbanov, Head of the Department of Business Organization and Municipal Administration; and Konul Omerova, Head of the Department of Higher Mathematics. Overall, the University was represented by 6 academic staff members and 6 students.

Within the framework of the forum, participants worked in international teams to develop projects addressing current global challenges, delivered presentations, and actively engaged in academic discussions. Students of Baku Business University achieved outstanding results: Leyla Aliyeva won 1st place, while Narmin Asgarova was awarded 2nd place. The winners were awarded certificates and gifts.

At the same time, cultural events organized within the program provided participants with the opportunity to closely explore the rich historical and cultural heritage of Uzbekistan. Members of the delegation emphasized that the knowledge and experience gained during the forum would play an important role in their future academic and professional activities.
