An event dedicated to the International Day against Drug Abuse and Illicit Trafficking

In connection with June 26 - "International Day of Fight against Drug Abuse and Illegal Trafficking" June 23, 2022 at the Baku University of Business was an event called "I choose my future." The event, organized by the Department of Humanities, was attended by students of the specialty "Social Work" and the teaching staff. Head of the Department of Humanities, Assoc. Azim Piriev informed about the current state of drug addiction and illegal drug trafficking in our country. Then the invited lecturers were social worker, head of the Center for Social Services Sanuber Heydarov and clinical psychologist, psychotherapist Tahmasib Javadzade. Noting that drug addiction is a problem of social origin, S. Heydarova told about those who are in the country of social services in the fight against drugs. T. Javadzadeh stressed the psychological dependence on drugs and spoke about the psychological support provided to drug users. At the conclusion of the event, specialists answered students' questions.
