Poetry night at Baku Business University
On May 23, 2014, a poetry evening dedicated to the 70th anniversary of the birth of Chingiz Alioglu, a poet-translator, member of the Azerbaijan Writers' Union, Honored Art Worker, was held at Baku Business University. Yasamal district schoolchildren also participated in the event. At the event, Chingiz Alioglu, poet-translator Elkhan Zal Karakhanoglu, member of Azerbaijan Writers' Union Ms. Feyziyya, doctor of philological sciences, professor, literary critic, critic, State Prize laureate Nizamuddin Shamsizade, writer-playwright Ramig Mukhtar, deputy editor-in-chief of "Azerbaijan" magazine, critic Asad Jahangir participated.
Rector of Baku Business University, Professor Ibad Abbasov, opened the poetry night, greeted the guests and informed about Chingiz Alioglu's creativity. Then N. Shamsizade spoke extensively about Chingiz Alioglu's creative path, drew attention to the diversity of his creativity, talked about his position in Azerbaijani literature and the positive role he played in the lives of young people.
Among the invited guests, the critic Asad Jahangir talked about the translated works of Chingiz Alioglu. Elkhan Zal Karakhanoglu talked about how Chingiz Alioglu represented Azerbaijan's poetry at the international events in foreign countries and read examples of his poems.
Poet Ramik Mukhtar Ch. He drew attention to Alioglu's creativity in the 1960s and 80s. Ms. Feyziyya Ch., a member of the Azerbaijan Writers' Union. He talked about the first years of Alioglu's creativity and the development of his poetry.
Students of Baku Business University recited examples of the poet's poems and asked him interesting questions.
In the end, Chingiz Alioglu sang examples of his latest works and expressed his deep gratitude to the rector of Baku Business University, professor Ibad Abbasov, the staff and students of the University, who organized this poetry night at a high level.
