May 28 – Republic Day event
On May 27, 2014, an event was held at Baku Business University on the occasion of May 28 - Republic Day. At the same time, a group of students from secondary schools of Nasimi and Nizami districts also participated in the event. Rector of Baku Business University, professor Ibad Abbasov, who spoke at the event, congratulated the faculty and students on the occasion of Azerbaijan's national holiday - Republic Day. He talked about the state institutions and institutions of the Democratic Republic, which was established in Azerbaijan for the first time in the Muslim world ninety-six years ago, the establishment of the National Army, and the 23-month activity of the Democratic Republic. It was noted that after the fall of the Democratic Republic, Azerbaijan lost its independence and was part of the Soviet Union for 71 years. There were quite a lot of positive moments of those years. In particular, in the 1970s, under the leadership of the Great Leader Heydar Aliyev, great construction works were carried out in Azerbaijan, and the Republic of Azerbaijan surpassed other allied republics with its rapid development.
It has been noted that the purposeful activity of the honorable President Ilham Aliyev, the worthy follower of the Great Leader, has made our country one of the most developed countries in the world. Such comprehensive progress is the result of the successful implementation of the purposeful policy of Great Leader Heydar Aliyev.
The artistic part of the event was continued with interesting performances by the members of the artistic collective of Baku Business University.
